Puzzles in Paradise



By today’s session leader:

The first task today was unproblematic: clear and tidy branches already cut.


Brash had to stacked neatly, to leave paths clear:



One has to keep one’s legs warm:

As do the trees:


Then the big task followed: to cut down some of the trees, but NOT the walnuts, and ONLY those with an orange cross.  So what do you do when you find a walnut with an orange cross?


Answer: you call a conference ...




















then leave it.


Meanwhile, our site warden was demonstrating how to fell a big tree – except that it didn’t want to go.  Not even when it had been cut right through:


The site warden (obviously imbued with the Green-Gym spirit) did not want to give up:


Finally, when that part of the job was done, and it was over to Green-Gymmers to reduce the timber to logs, he could have a rest:


Even the site-trust landrover got into the spirit of things.  At tea-break, it proved to be much more than just a means of transport:
